Kilimanjaro Summit

We are excited to announce that Discover Outdoors, an adventure travel company, is leading a 7-day trip this August to summit the largest mountain in Africa and raise funds for Team Fox!  It is a unique opportunity to overcome a physically demainding, yet incredibly rewarding climb amidst the camaraderie of others committed to finding a cure for Parkinson's.

Important Logistics for Interested Climbers:

  1. The trek will take place August 23-30, 2012
  2. Participants commit to fundraising $8,000 to get a spot on the expedition.  This covers trip costs (lodging, food, transport to and from the airport and park fees) but does not include airfare.
  3. Participants will fly into Arusha, Tanzania
  4. Participants are expected to commit to adequately train for the climb.  By the time of the trip, everyone should be confident in their ability to hike for several miles of elevation change, several days in row.
  5. Our logistical partner is Discover Outdoors and the full itinerary for the expedition is available on their website.
  6. Mike Wenger, a staff member at the Fox Foundation and a Discover Outdoors guide, will be leading the trip.  He will be accessible to assist all participants with training regiment and packing needs.
  7. The trip is limited to 20 participants, so act fast to secure your spot!
