In honor of one of our hockey dads, Dave Studzinski, Springboro's varsity hockey team is having an awareness/fundraising game. Help us reach our goal of $2,500 on February 1, 2013. This game is the first Team Fox event that involves a high school hockey game. Let them know who we are Boro!

Dave has recently been to the Cleveland Clinic and been selected to be evaluated for deep brain stimulation surgery. Hopefully, this will happen in the next few months. This is just a great example of why Team Fox events are so important and why we need your support.

Dave has been a practicing veterinarian at the Waynesville Veterinary Hospital for the last 23 years. Dave and Stacy have been married for 32 years. They have three children, Kelsey, DJ and Travis. DJ played hockey for Springboro for 3 years and Travis is finishing his 4th year with the team. Kelsey has been a constant fixture at our games over the last 5 years while she was finishing her education degree at UT. They have all been part of the Boro hockey family for the last 5 years.

Dave has been the president of the hockey board for the last 2 years. He has led the way on putting together the program the last few years raising a significant amount of money that has reduced player fees. He is also an avid photographer taking hundreds of pictures of the team the last 5 years. You can see these on the Boro hockey Facebook page.

Team Fox is The Michael J. Fox Foundation's (MJFF) grassroots community fundraising program. Its members include thousands of people worldwide who generate funds and awareness for Parkinson's disease research. All funds raised through Team Fox go directly to MJFF to advance its mission to accelerate the delivery of life-changing treatments, and ultimately a cure, to people with Parkinson's disease.

The Michael J. Fox Foundation is honored by your support. Since 2001, the Foundation has maintained an uncompromising pace -strategically targeting our resources to achieve maximum impact on patients' lives, funding work on over 100 therapeutic targets to the tune of more than $313 million to date. MJFF also understands that patients are the key to a cure and is actively engaged with the PD community. To help connect patients and their loved ones with the clinical trials that urgently need their participation, the Foundation created a Web tool, Fox Trial Finder. Whether you have PD or not, you can play a critical role in moving research forward -create your profile now!
