I was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease in early 2009. After all of the testing and emotional ups and downs involved in getting this type of news, I settled in and realized just how lucky I really was. The support of my family and friends was incredible. As I started to search for information, the Michael J. Fox Foundation became a home base for my research. I took comfort in his books and his strong determination to not let Parkinson's Disease rule his life.

My wife and business partner, Carol, is an artist who paints in oils and we have felt that through her and our fellow artist friends that we could come up with a means of raising substantial funds to benefit the Fox Foundation. We have now developed that venue, which is the Quick Finish and Live Auction at The Western Masters Art Show and Sale in Great Falls, Montana. The Quick Finish event in 2011 consisted of 13 well known and established western artists, who created their original works of art during a 2-hour time frame, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 19th, 2011, at The Western Heritage Inn where the show takes place. The live auction of these pieces took take place immediately following the Quick Finish, and prior to the signature event of the evening, the "Off The Wall" live auction. The artists participating in the Quick Finish event had all generously agreed to support me in my endeavor to raise funds for the Fox Foundation, by donating 50% of the proceeds from the auction of their pieces to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research. In fact, many of the artists donated 100% of the auction price of their artwork, generating $44,500 towards my Team Fox goal.

For 2012, The Western Masters Art Show & Sale hosted our annual Quick Finish to support The Michael J. Fox Foundation on Saturday, March 17th at 3:00pm, with 13 featured artists who had generously agreed to donate 1/2 of the proceeds from there artwork in the "Quick Finish Auction", and it was a huge success! So far, along with some amazingly generous donors, like Ernie and Anna Steiner, Scott Taylor, and Stuart Nicholson, Greg and Amber Pinski, Bob and Penni Nance,we've raised $74,775.00, and that was just the beginningI would personally like to thank the following artists for their friendship and giving spirits, which allowed us to raise this amazing amount of money for the Michael J. Fox Foundation. Their names, in the order of their auction pieces are John Gawne, Linda Tuma Robertson, Michael Ome Untiedt, Nancy Dunlop Cawdrey, Tom Gilleon, Brent Cotton, Charles Fritz, Joe Velazquez, Carol Hagan, Gary Lynn Roberts, Tom Saubert, Joe Kronenberg, and Steve Lillegard. A sincere and heartfelt THANK YOU to all of you for your generousity and help in raising the funds to help find a cure. It means the world to me, and I will never forget your kindness!

In March of this year we held our 3rd annual Western Masters Art Show & Sale Quick Finish to benefit Pat Hagan's Team Fox, and I am once again proud to say that we had a stellar lineup of artists. The artists who graciously agreed to participate this year were Linda Tuma Robertson, Steve Lillegard, Tom Saubert, Nancy Cawdrey, Tom Gilleon (our North Star Award Winner for 2013), Brent Cotton, Charles Fritz, Carol Hagan, Gary Lynn roberts, Joe Kronenberg, Linda St. Clair, Cliff Rossberg, and Jennifer Johnson. I can assure you that it was a fun and exciting night, and due to the generousity of the artists, the help that I had from so many, including both Mod and Sarah, from Team Fox Headquarters, and the gracious collectors and contributors, we raised another $73,300. That brings our 3 year total from this event to over $192,575.00, with $75,000 of that figure matched by the Brin-Wojicki challenge grant.

During the Fall of 2011, we also held a raffle, and last year we added another fun event to our calendar (which we plan to repeat this year on November 9th), which was:

"An Evening of Music, Art and Tapas at Walkers Grill" to benefit Pat's Team Fox.

Last year, our event at Walkers Grill was an unbelievable success, with over $47,500 raised in this event, and bringing our 2012 total to over $130,000. The food Walkers provided was truly outstanding. Owners Bill and Marcia Honaker, and their entire crew, did a wonderful job for everyone involved. Kudos to you all. We all highly recommend Walkers American Grill & Tapas Bar (406-245-9291)!

The music was also extraordinary, with some of the best singer-songwriters in the country, right here in Billings, Montana. My sincere thanks to Sean Devine, Bill Payne, Kostas, and Jessica Kilroy for for sharing their music with us and for being such a key to the success of this event. You're appreciated by all who attended, and I plan to take you all up on your offer to come back again.

And then there was the artwork, which was incredibly beautiful. All the artists, which included Kevin Red Star, Harry Koyama, Carol Spielman, Kira Fercho, Bil Payne, and of course, my beautiful wife Carol Hagan, did some of their most wonderful work and offered it for live auction that night, raising $36,800 . Thank you so much for all of your generosity, and willingness to participate in my Team Fox fundraising efforts, to benefit The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.

I also want to thank the generous collectors and donors, which helped this evening to be such are tremendous success by purchasing artwork and by contributing directly to my Team Fox.

I hope you will try to attend one of our fundraisers this year or next year, as we plan new and exciting ways to contribute to this cause.  If you are unable to attend but would like to offer your support to our fundraising efforts, you can do so by clicking the "Contribute" button on my Team Fox page to make your tax deductible contribution. This is a stellar organization whose goal is to, as they say,  to "put themselves out of business". Please join me in the fight against Parkinson's disease. By supporting my Team Fox efforts, you are helping The Michael J. Fox Foundation achieve its mission to bring better treatments and, ultimately, a cure to people living with Parkinson's disease.
Thank you!
Pat Hagan
