26.2 Miles for a Shortened Road to a Cure

Thank you so much for visiting my fundraising page!  This year I am proud to play a part in the fight against Parkinson’s disease by running in the TCS NYC Marathon for Team Fox.

DUE TO THE INCREDIBLE SUPPORT AND CONTRIBUTIONS MADE THUS FAR I AM RAISING MY ORGINAL FUNDRAISING GOAL OF $3,500 TO $7,000.  Together we will find a cure!

I am making a commitment to raise this amount and awareness for Parkinson’s disease (PD) because my father in-law, Joe, was diagnosed with PD in 2007. I am dedicating my efforts to The Michael J. Fox Foundation because Joe and others affected by PD deserve a shortened road to a cure and the development of improved therapies.  The Michael J. Fox Foundation believes the same through their aggressively funded research agenda.  I ask that you be a part of my team and join the fight against PD.

Please help me reach my goal by making a financial contribution.  No amount is too small, as every cent will go towards finding a cure for PD and improving therapies for those affected.  If you don’t know where to start, consider donating a certain amount per mile such as $1.00 – that’s only $26.20 total – or consider sponsoring a mile (see below).

 ---Mile Sponsorship---

For anyone who would like to sponsor a mile of the 26.2 miles that I will be running for Joe and Team Fox please consider donating $262 – the equivalent of $10 per every mile that I will run on race day.  Mile sponsor’s names will be displayed on my running gear and will travel with me through the 5 boroughs of New York City while supporting the fight against PD.

Thank you for your support and contribution!

Sincerely,

Thomas Moore

About Team Fox

Team Fox is The Michael J. Fox Foundation's (MJFF) grassroots community fundraising program.  It is made up of thousands of people worldwide who raise funds and awareness for Parkinson's disease research.  All funds raised through Team Fox go directly to MJFF to further its mission to accelerate the delivery of life-changing treatments, and ultimately a cure, to people with Parkinson's disease.

This year, thanks to the generous support of an anonymous donor, 100% of Team Fox proceeds will go directly to research efforts to help speed a cure for Parkinson's.

Help us speed a cure for Parkinson's!
