As a life-long runner, I’ve always dreamed of running and racing in the streets of New York City.
On November 2, 2014, I will make that dream a reality when I partner with Team Fox and the Michael J. Fox Foundation at this year’s TCS New York City Marathon. Together, we’ll team to raise critical funds needed to further research, treatments and to find a cure for Parkinson’s disease.
As a member of my family is currently dealing with the challenges of Parkinson’s, this initiative is extremely personal to me. Parkinson’s is a progressive, neurodegenerative, movement disorder that effectives five million people worldwide.
While the Michael J. Fox Foundation has made great strides finding and enhancing treatments, there is still no cure for this disease.
I humbly ask for your support in raising funds for the Michael J. Fox Foundation and to continue to bring the fight to Parkinson's disease. The Foundation is so dedicated to finding a cure that they have committed to using 100% of every dollar raised from the NYC Marathon to go directly to research
