I first joined Team Fox in 2012, to run the NYC Half Marathon in honor of my Mom, who was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease in 2010. With your help, I raised over $14,000! Later that year, I suffered a hip injury and had to undergo surgery. I did not committ to any big running events in 2013 but I did host an Alex and Ani fundraiser for Team Fox which raised almost $500!
Now here we are in 2014! I am back to running and have set some pretty big goals for this year! I hope that you will help me reach them!
- Host my own 5K! The Fox Trot 5K - April 5, 2014, South Glens Falls, NY - Complete! Our event raised $10,000!
- Run the Plattsburgh Half Marathon for Team Fox - April 27, 2014, Plattsburgh, NY - Finished! Great run through the City of Plattsburgh for Team Fox!
- Run the NYC Marathon with Team Fox - November 2, 2014
- Raise $20,000 for Team Fox!
Five million people worldwide are living with Parkinson's disease - a chronic, degenerative neurological disorder. In the United States, 60,000 new cases will be diagnosed this year alone. There is no known cure for Parkinson's disease.
About Team Fox
Team Fox is The Michael J. Fox Foundation's (MJFF) grassroots community fundraising program. It is made up of thousands of people worldwide who raise funds and awareness for Parkinson's disease research. All funds raised through Team Fox go directly to MJFF to further its mission to accelerate the delivery of life-changing treatments, and ultimately a cure, to people with Parkinson's disease.
Help us speed a cure for Parkinson's!
